Thousands of lives are saved every day by the dedicated work of the healthcare professionals in Cardiovascular-Thoracic (CVT) Critical Care. Despite medical progress, there is a growing crisis due to a shortage of professionals trained in this unique specialty.
The Foundation for the Advancement of CardioThoracic Surgical Care (FACTS-Care), a non-profit 501(c)(3) foundation, was created to address this crisis and to take CVT Critical Care to the next level of excellence. FACTS-Care provides multi-disciplinary educational activities for surgeons, intensivists, interventionalists, critical care nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, perfusionists, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists.
The mission of FACTS-Care is to substantially improve Cardiovascular-Thoracic patient outcomes and comfort through the training and development of professional Critical Care teams in hospitals in the USA and worldwide.
